This
AudioBOOK CD book has been a labor of love that has been years in the
making and has involved many people. The focus of this work started with
and in commemoration of the building of the Kansas City Missouri Temple
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which has greatly
blessed the lives of people in the area where The Mormon Chorale
originates, as well as the promotion of Temple attendance and family
history work.
The
journey began in the spring of 2010, as the Chorale prepared to sing at
the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Temple. Over the next two years of
construction, Chorale members along with others watched the Temple
progress with anticipation.
As the church members prepared to
celebrate the opening of the Kansas City Missouri Temple, the director, Alice
Beebe, felt to develop a musical program celebrating Temples, and to use
available technology so Chorale members could share, in a significant
way, their testimonies of temple work with their family and friends.
This
music for this program was recorded in various recording venues and
live performances. There are several original numbers and other hymn
arrangements. A connecting story line and beautiful music with
orchestration by Larry R. Beebe, brings together a heart-warming
spiritual experience and joy for temple work. Walking In the Light
is an inspirational program and a wonderful resource of testimony
building and useful for family home evening topics filled with the
spirit and joy of the temple.
